wtf??

Kind of a blunt title, and I apologize to use that, but that's the only thing that keeps running through my head when I think about this...

While talking to my Momma the other night, she told about this, it gave me goosebumps then and the more I read and hear about it, it makes me sick to my stomach.
Read it here . So many questions and unfortunately they will all go unanswered. One of the many questions that keeps going through my mind is why kill your wife and kids? Was he trying to save them the embarassment? Was he afraid they wouldn't have a place to live and be able to survive without him? Again, so many questions. My thoughts and prayers are with their family members. As I sit here listening to Casting Crowns 'Voice of Truth', I'm bawling. What a tragic story.

On a happier note, I unlocked my office door this morning to find a bouqet of flowers laying on my desk with a Thank you card. Since there are only two of us that have keys to my office, I knew they were from my boss right away. Spring colored daisies look beautiful in my office, everybody commented on them today. What a sweet boss I have! Couldn't have asked for a better way to start my day!

For starters, this story really upset me for 2 reasons...the first is the obvious reason. Why the heck did he do that??? He must have been sick and mad! Surprisingly as I sat reading it though, I became very angry...and not for the reason I just listed....I am so angry that there are going to be picketers there!! SOOOOO MAD! I mean, those poor family members are grieving so much! I can't even imagine that kind of pain of losing so many you love all at once like that, and in such a horrible and evil way! HOW DARE THEY!!!! And who are they to judge and tell us WHY God allowed this to happen to this poor family? We don't, and probably will never know WHY God allowed it to happen, but He is the only one who can see the whole picture, and He is loving and good and he will not waste their pain. He will use it for good. Yes, the Bible does say that homosexuality is a sin BUT God is the judge! Yes, it is perfectly ok to gently and LOVINGLY point out someone's sin to them so that they may repent and, in a sense , help themselves. Homosexuality is just one sin, and while not all sins are equal in their consequnces and severity, it is treated as though it were a sin greater than murder sometimes! The bible also says that before you go and remove the speck out of your brother's eye, make sure and pull the plank out of your own first. Nobody is without sin (Thanks a lot Adam and Eve! Good going!) I would say that by picketing they are giving Christianity a bad rep. I would say it is not Christ-like. I would say that THEY, in their self-righteousness, are sinning. They are demonstrating pride, which God hates. It's no wonder why nonchristians are so turned off by Christianity sometimes! GRRR! These people are not God and they can not say WHY things like this happen. We, as Christians need to realize that we, like everyone else sin, and when we look at why the world is so bad OUR OWN SINS ARE ALSO A PART OF THE WHY THE WORLD IS SO BAD!!! Just because you surrender your life to Christ and follow his teachings, does not make you righteous and holy. You are still a sinner. The difference is that now, you have a desire to repent and change the things that have put in front of your eyes as sin. You repent because you love God and want to honor Him. Jesus came to save us from our past sins, our current sins and our sins we have yet to commit. Again, Christians repent because they feel sorry for the sins and want to change and wish they hadn't done whatever it is they did, and they want to grow and move on from that. It is a heart issue. It is not to be taken lightly and does not mean that you can go sin because God is just going to forgive you anyway. Trust me, once you are His, your character changes and you would not even want to do that, and clearly that attitude would be sin also. I know I am rambling. I am just so put off by those picketers!! I know! I'm probably judging them...lol...but if I were talking to one of them in person,, I would bring the truth to light in a loving way, and not do it in a way that is filled with anger, judgement, and arrogence!! My heart really goes out to this family who has to deal with this on top of the deaths of their family!! On another note, I love Casting Crowns! I am going to see them in Ames April 24Th we will be in the third row right in the center!! So excited!!
