Common phrases

common phrases that I hear multiple times... on a daily basis... it makes me wonder if I repeat this stuff in my sleep?

  • At the end of the day
  • things of that nature (see post below)
  • so on and so forth
  • whatever (I'm definitely guilty of this)
  • peaches and cream (don't ask the details!)
  • and stuff like that
  • click
  • "woefully" inappropriate
  • and at the same time
  • with that being said

I'm sure there are many more ... that's a good start though :)

.... and things of that nature....

So I'm currently sitting on a conference call about the upcoming merger... if I only would have started a tally from the beginning of the call with the number of times we've heard "and things of that nature"... I'm sure we would have been up to 10+... so for you C M.... here's "and things of that nature" for you!

looking around

Waking up this morning I couldn't quite remember how I got home last night... looking outside I see my friends truck in the driveway and his keys sitting on my table. After his phone call, I realize I drove his truck home.... WOW. If history repeats itself, I'll remember in a few days the events of last night. Today is going to be a struggle to accomplish anything.... I've already had to cancel my appt to get my taxes done! So much for not drinking this week!

Have a great weekend ya'll!

almost 12 hours

Before posting this, my first statement is: I sure hope my boss doesn't ever run across my blog... or if they do, I hope they're not my boss after the merger :)

4 of us left work at 11:30am for lunch.... and well we never returned. I can't believe in my drunken state that I'm even typing this. It's almost 11:00 pm (or really close to that) and I haven't stopped drinking except when we drove from OP to Blue Springs. Good god that's a lot of alcohol... which is going to make for a VERY hung-over Kelli tomorrow. Supposed to get my taxes done but don't think that will be happening. A certain red-head in my office is a BAD influence!

I tried to find a good picture of a drunk person or hung-over person but couldn't find one....

As a former employee of ours used to say, "I'll be paying the piper tomorrow"

frustrating day

For somebody who doesn't know what my job persists of or has never seen me "in action", this entry probably won't make a whole lot of sense...

As much as I love challenges, today I was at wits end. From spending over an hour last night to spending ALL morning (from 6:45am to 11:30 AM) this morning on ONE order today about made me want to blow a gasket. I guess what pissed me off the most was everything was done EXCEPT 2 pieces out of 19... TWO! And then to try and get help... the two groups I had to work with were pointing fingers at each other saying it was each other's fault...

So finally after getting that resolved, my email crashed. This is after I've been getting pop-ups (about 5-6 at a time) the last two days. Working with our IT group, they fixed my email but took down all of my other "gotta-have" databases. Calling back, they fixed the "gotta-haves" but I'm still without email.

I probably could have handled all of this, but for goodness sake, it's month end... in a SALES office! I'm laughing now as I type this because there's nothing I can do... but WOW.

This is what I felt like earlier today:

Little O

When I got the email with this picture, I replied back asking if this was Little O or Baby G? Either way he's adorable!

blast from the past..mixed with today

I was "cleaning out" and re-organizing my documents today when I came across some pictures... how they bring back some memories.

This is me circa 1982... riding on my brother's John Deere. The good 'ol tractor is still going strong....
